Our new {temporary} home

July started as a whirlwind for us.

We packed up a months worth of belongings and stuffed our cars, pups, and selves into two small cars.

The moving company packed up our house and loaded all of the boxes and furniture into their truck and took the contents of our home to storage.

Hooray for packers and movers!!

 Early on July 4th we said goodbye to our first house and took a long rainy drive to Ohio.

Not happy halfway through our drive.

For the next month we are living in a hotel until our rental house is available.

The dogs don't quite know what to make of it. They are not sure why they have to wear a leash to go outside. They are both a little high strung but are doing okay so far.

Little Bean is thrilled to explore her new space. Her schedule has been completely thrown out the window so there have been some cranky moments. We should be back on track in the next few days.

Dave and I felt like we were on vacation. It doesn't help that we are living mostly out of suitcases in a hotel setting. We loved the time we were able to spend together. It is such a rare treat to have family time and eat dinner together. Dave started work yesterday, but right now he just has meetings and interviews for the staff.

It has rained a lot since we have gotten here, but yesterday was mostly dry and there is a chance of rain tonight. I am looking forward to sunnier skies and taking time to explore our new city.
