Ready for Fall

We celebrated the beginning of fall with a trip to the splash park. As much as I am ready for the cooler temperatures and all of the fun that happens in autumn, we are taking full advantage of the warmer weather while we can.
Proof that Sophia was with us...she was having so much fun running around and playing, that she is just a blur in most of the photos I took.
Before leaving the park, Emma showed us how brave she was by climbing to the top of the castle.

Me Brave!

We visit Washington Park in Cincinnati frequently. Sophia loves the water falls and little streams, but has not been a huge fan of the fountains. She is not a fan of getting her face wet. Before our last visit, we had a little pep talk about being brave and trying new things. She ran into the fountain, got wet, and ran back to me yelling "Me brave!".
This past weekend was The City Flea, I was looking forward to strolling the vendors, but Sophia was only interested in testing the water. Once she got wet, we stopped for a popsicle (or two) and took a quick walk around, but nothing caught my eye.

28/52

Cooling off with not one, but two popsicles on a hot summer day.
"A portrait of my little lady, once a week, every week, in 2014."
Thrilled to be linking up with Jodi for The 52 Project.

Adventures with Nanny and Pap Pap

Dave's parents drove from Pennsylvania to spend almost a week with us. Sophia loved having Nanny and Pap Pap visit with us. Before they arrived she kept repeating "Nana Pap Pap visit me." She loves having family around to spoil her!
We stayed busy and I enjoyed playing tour guide around Cincinnati.

Sophia had a blast showing Nanny and Pap Pap our neighborhood playground.

We visited The Taste of Cincinnati (but made the mistake of feasting on a huge breakfast first). While there we cooled off with some street pops. Sophia's favorite part was playing in one of the fountains.

We played on the playground, had a picnic lunch, and played in the fountains at Washington Park.

To be continued...
