Emma Layne {eleven months}

alternate title: time please slow down
Emma Layne,
You turned eleven months old yesterday (January 6, 2016).
I am not even sure how eleven months have already passed since you joined our little family.
No updated stats this month since we do not have a doctor's appointment, but you continue to be a healthy little lady.
You have dark hair and blue/grey/green eyes. They look so different depending on the lighting. You are wearing 18 month and 24 month clothing. You are wearing size five diapers at night. During the day we mostly use cloth diapers and you are wearing the last of your size four disposables.
This was the month of distraction and needing to be on the go. Diaper changes are interesting, to say the least. You are nursing during the day when I remind you that you might want some milk, but even then you would rather be playing. You occasionally use a cup. Food is your favorite. You don't always eat breakfast, but you will eat a morning snack. You eat whatever we are eating (except honey) and often eat more than Sophia at mealtimes. You also like to share your food with Hunter, and he is happy to sit by your side while you are eating.
We had a few nights of good sleep this month and I am hoping that becomes more regular. Naps have become a little irregular this month and you seem to do fine if you miss your morning nap.
No teeth have popped through yet, but your little mouth is working on at least four teeth right now. I'm enjoying the last of your gummy little smile. You have no desire to stand or walk and it is rare to see you pull yourself up, although you have started to climb a bit more. You are a speedy little crawler, you love dancing, clapping, talking, laughing, and playing peek-a-boo.
You will occasionally sign 'milk' and 'all done'. This month we heard 'muh' (for milk) and 'duh' (for dog) more than mama and dada. You have a few other words, but are not always consistent when you use them.
You are still the sweetest little thing, but we are seeing your temper more frequently. You know exactly what you want and will kick and scream if you don't get it. Most of the time you can be redirected though.
You love to be held and sit on our laps. You prefer Sophia's toys (and she prefers yours) and you love to play and laugh with her. Chase is your current favorite game with your big sister.
Sophia is constantly checking in on you and making sure you have everything you need. She loves to match her outfit to yours.
Baby Sunshine, thank you for being the sweetest baby ever and the perfect addition to our family. We love you right up to the moon and back.
