I couldn't decide on one picture this week. These were my two favorite.

Sophia has been slightly obsessed with eggs. At the zoo she discovered that the cranes have an egg in their nest. She stood at the fence and stared while we talked about the Mommy, Daddy, and Baby crane.

Eden Park

At the beginning of the month Sophia and I made a trip to Eden Park. We loved looking at all of the flowers and exploring. Last night we took Dave back to the park for a picnic dinner and some playtime. Thank goodness for him. Dave went down the slide with Sophia every time she asked. I supervised and soaked up some sunshine.

Hoppy Easter!

Sophia and I spent a beautiful Easter weekend together.
Dave was busy at the restaurant so it was just the two of us.
Sophia loved the zoo, egg hunt, and candy. I loved watching her joy.

Sophia has just started requesting to go the the zoo. Every time we have been in the car the past few days I have heard "Schoo now, Mama.". Her favorite animal to visit is the "white bear" - she is a big fan of the polar bears. On Saturday the zoo had a little Easter celebration. There were treat and activity stations, eggs for the animals, and lots of people. 

Sophia enjoyed painting the Happy Easter banner at one of the activity stations.

April Showers bring...PUDDLES!

April showers bring flowers too, but puddles are much more fun. Sophia would jump in every little puddle she could find if I let her. That phrase 'childhood is calling' echoes through my head whenever I try to rush her away from jumping.

We went on a neighborhood splash walk after a few days of wet weather. Not only is Sophia obsessed with her froggy rain jacket, her boots are by far her favorite thing she owns.

Dave was a good sport and jumped in almost every puddle with her. She caught on that puddle jumping isn't really my thing and kept coming to grab my hand and jump with her. Maybe I would enjoy it more if I had a pair of rain boots.
